Luna is an exclusive and elegant lounge chair, designed by Franco Albini & Franca Helg in 1967. The chair was originally named “Radar” and was designed with great inspiration from “The Space Race,” which influenced much of the design world in the 1960s.
The lounge chair was originally designed for indoor use and can be found in Sika-Design’s exclusive ICONS collection. The chair is suitable both for private homes and hotels with outdoor lounge areas.
The Luna Exterior Armchair is handmade from Alu-Rattan and ArtFibre. Alu-Rattan is weather-resistant powder-coated aluminum, while ArtFibre consists of artificial fibers made from maintenance-free polyethylene. These weather-resistant materials allow the chair to withstand being outdoors all year round without compromising its design or durability. The chair is hand-painted with great expertise to achieve a natural rattan appearance. It requires no maintenance and is easy to clean.
It is possible to purchase a cushion in your choice of fabric, sewn at our Danish workshop. We also offer to sew cushions using your own fabric—please contact us for information about fabric requirements.
