Robert is an exclusive wicker chair designed by Robert W., who today is known as the pioneer in the production of rattan furniture. He set the course for how we, through solid craftmanship and by challenging the possibilities of the material, produce rattan furniture today. The Robert chair contributes a natural element in the dining room, conservatory or in the cottage.

The Robert chair was designed in 1901 and is part of Sika-Design's exclusive ICONS collection. Our ICONS collection represents relaunched design products from some of the world's greatest and most acclaimed designers of their time. With great respect and admiration for the original designs and in close collaboration with the descendants of these well-known furniture designers, we are happy to bring these icons back.

The chair is handmade with great expertise and the fine detailed windings in the seat and back are made on a rattan frame. Design uses carefully selected rattan for furniture production to ensure the highest quality. Rattan is often compared to bamboo, but unlike bamboo which is hollow, rattan is a solid material. Rattan is a remarkably strong and indestructible material and you therefore get a unique piece of furniture that can last for generations.
