Madeleine Dining Chair

The Madeleine dining chair is made from Indonesian sustainable rattan. The chair is crafted in untreated natural rattan and features a raw, unpolished surface. The seat and backrest are hand-woven onto a rattan frame by skilled basket makers. The Madeleine rattan chair has armrests, a backrest, and is stackable.

The Affäire collection is inspired by our own designs from the 1950s and the charming bistro chairs seen all over Paris. We weave our Affäire chairs with the fantastic ArtFibre, which is available in a wide range of colors that can be combined in countless ways. ArtFibre is an artificial fiber made of maintenance-free polyethylene that can withstand the sun’s UV rays. The combination of ArtFibre and rattan provides flexibility, strength, and comfort. The various weaving combinations create a cozy atmosphere and allow for a unique appearance. This refined dining chair is designed for brasseries, cafes, and restaurants but is also suitable for private use. The chair can be used outdoors in covered areas but should not be exposed to rain or sleet. Affaire chairs must be stored indoors during wintertime.
