Isabell is a charming wicker chair in Danish design. The chair is part of Sika-Design's Affäire collection which represents a unique selection of charming bistro and café furniture, inspired by Sika-Design's own designs from the 1950s and the charming café chairs that are seen everywhere in Paris.
The chair is handmade in sustainable Indonesian rattan by skilled wicker makers. We weave our Affäire furniture with the fantastic ArtFibre which is available in a larger selection of colors that can be put together in countless combinations.
ArtFibers are artificial fibers made from maintenance-free polyethylene that can withstand the sun's UV radiation. The combination of rattan and ArtFibre gives the wicker furniture a unique strength, flexibility and comfort. Sika-Design uses carefully selected rattan for furniture production to ensure the highest quality. Rattan is often compared to bamboo, but unlike bamboo which is hollow, rattan is a solid material. Rattan is a remarkably strong and indestructible material, and therefore a unique piece of furniture is available that lasts for generations.
The chair is designed for brasseries, cafés and restaurants, but it is also suitable for the ordinary home. The chair is made for indoor use but can be used outdoors in covering areas and should not be exposed to rain and moisture.
